Vacuum contactor for high-cycle motor switching
Vacuum interrupters suppress the arc inside a sealed chamber, so the contactor handles frequent AC-3 and AC-4 duty without pitting or maintenance — rated for 750 operations per hour in AC-3 and AC-3e, and 250 per hour in AC-4. The coil pulls in at 200-220 V AC (pickup at 0.8x rated value) and the contactor carries a typical mechanical life of 10,000,000 cycles.
Mounts via screw fixing through a single 11 mm hole. Dimensions are 210 mm high, 145 mm wide, and 206 mm deep — plan the panel depth accordingly.
Wiring and auxiliary contacts
Power circuit wiring accepts stranded conductors from 70 to 240 mm². The coil connection uses screw-type terminals accepting solid or stranded wire: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). An auxiliary switch is built in, saving panel space and reducing wiring compared to a separate add-on block.
Switching performance and thermal limits
Operating time is 40 to 80 ms on both AC and DC control. The contactor is rated for a power factor of 0.9 at both 50 and 60 Hz. Auxiliary contact ratings: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V, 2 A at 60 V, and 1 A at 110 V.
