The 361 A at 480 V AC-3 rating is the figure that governs motor load fit — a 480 V motor drawing, say, 320 A full-load current is within range; a 380 A motor would exceed the contactor's rated making and breaking capacity in that duty class. Switching frequency limits are specified per duty class: up to 750 operations per hour in AC-3 and AC-3e, 700 in AC-1 (resistive), and 250 in AC-2 and AC-4 (slip-ring motor starting and plugging/reversing).
Mounting is by screw fixing through an 11 mm hole; the contactor can be rotated ±22.5° on a vertical surface, tilted forward/backward ±22.5°, or stood on a horizontal surface. Dimensions are 214 mm high, 160 mm wide, and 225 mm deep — the depth being the dimension to account for when planning gland-plate clearance or enclosure depth. Clearance distances: 10 mm upwards and downwards, 10 mm to the side, 20 mm forwards. Main power connections accept stranded cable from 70 to 240 mm²; auxiliary and coil connections accept solid or stranded conductors from 0.5 to 4 mm².
