SIRIUS S00 power contactor — 4 NO, 4 kW AC-2
The Siemens 3RT1316-1AR60 is a SIRIUS-branded power contactor in the S00 frame size, carrying 4 normally-open main contacts and no NC main contacts. It is rated for 4 kW at 400 V in AC-2 duty, which covers slip-ring motor starting and reversing applications where the contactor makes and breaks the motor current at reduced load. The 45 mm width and 72 mm depth fit the standard 35 mm DIN rail (EN 50022) with screw or snap-on mounting.
Mounting and integration
Mounts on 35 mm standard rail per DIN EN 50022, screw or snap-on. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with 6 mm spacing at the side. Front protection is IP20; the terminals are also IP20. The screw-type terminals accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²) solid/stranded conductors, or 2x (20 to 16), 2x (18 to 14), 1x 12 AWG. Strip and torque per the terminal marking on the contactor.
Electrical ratings and coordination
Rated insulation voltage 400 V at 50 Hz, 400 to 440 V at 60 Hz. Operating frequency 50/60 Hz. The contactor is rated for pollution degree 3 environments. For Type 2 coordination (no damage to the contactor on short circuit), use a gL/gG fuse rated 20 A. For Type 1 coordination (contactor may need replacement after fault), use a 35 A gL/gG fuse. The auxiliary contact ratings cover 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V. Mechanical life is 30 million operating cycles.
