The Siemens 3RT1316-1BA40 is a SIRIUS S00-frame power contactor with four NO main contacts and screw-type terminals, rated for AC-12 duty at 10 A and AC-2 switching at 400 V up to 4 kW.
Ratings that matter for the line
The contactor holds its coil at 12 V DC, with a closing and holding power of 3.3 W; at 24 V it switches 10 A, at 60 V it handles 2 A, and at 230 V it manages 6 A, so the auxiliary contact curve is usable across a range of control voltages. The mechanical endurance of 30 million operations means it outlasts most machines it's wired into.
The S00 frame is 45 mm wide, 57.5 mm tall, and 72 mm deep — a compact footprint that leaves room for auxiliary contact blocks or an overload relay on the same DIN rail. Side-by-side mounting is allowed with a 6 mm gap at the side for heat dissipation. For type 2 coordination, use a 20 A gL/gG fuse; for type 1, a 35 A gL/gG fuse. The screw terminals are standard for panel builders — no special tooling needed.
