Panel fit and switching capability
The Siemens 3RT1316-2AG60 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the compact Size S00 frame — 45 mm wide, 60 mm tall, 72 mm deep — designed for screw or snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022. Four normally-open main contacts handle the switching, with spring-loaded terminals on the main current circuit accepting 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire. The AC-2 rating at 400 V delivers 4 kW, covering motor switching for reversing or plugging duty where the contactor makes and breaks the load under full current.
Auxiliary contact ratings and coordination
Auxiliary contacts are rated for 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 6 A at 230 V, with a 400 V rating of 3 A. For Type 1 coordination, a 35 A gL/gG fuse is required; Type 2 coordination calls for a 20 A gL/gG fuse. Mechanical endurance is typical 30 million cycles.
Environmental and mounting notes
Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C. Pollution degree 3. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with 6 mm spacing at the side. The front and terminal area are rated IP20. Maximum operating altitude is 2 000 m.
