It provides four normally open (4 NO) main contacts and zero NC main contacts, making it suitable for switching three-phase motor loads plus an additional NO pole for control or auxiliary functions.
The S00 footprint — 45 mm wide, 60 mm tall, 72 mm deep — fits tightly in a crowded enclosure; side-by-side mounting is permitted, with a 6 mm clearance required at the side for heat dissipation. The IP20 finger-safe front and terminal protection means it can sit in a standard IP54 or higher cabinet without additional shrouding for the operator-facing side.
Main current circuit uses spring-loaded terminals — no screw torque to verify, which speeds panel wiring. Accepts 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded conductors, or 2x (24 to 14 AWG). The spring cage holds ferruled stranded wire reliably; strip length is standard for the terminal type.
Coil and auxiliary contact ratings
The coil is rated 24 V at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with an operating range of 0.8 to 1.1 times rated voltage at 50 Hz and 0.85 to 1.1 at 60 Hz — so it picks up reliably even if the control transformer sags to about 19 V. Auxiliary contacts (integrated into the main contact block) carry 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V, covering typical PLC output or relay coil switching.
Short-circuit protection and coordination
This matters when designing a panel for selectivity — the 20 A fuse limit means the contactor branch can be selectively coordinated with a downstream motor-protective breaker only if the breaker's let-through is below that threshold.
