Siemens 3RT1317-2AP00 SIRIUS S00 Power Contactor
The Siemens 3RT1317-2AP00 is a SIRIUS S00-frame power contactor with 4 normally-open main contacts, rated for 5.5 kW at 400 V in AC-2 duty (slip-ring motor switching). It uses spring-loaded terminals for the main circuit, accepting 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire. For AC-3 squirrel-cage motor duty, the rating will be lower — check the full datasheet for that curve. The 4 NO main contacts give you four independent power poles, useful for multi-circuit switching or star-delta configurations without adding auxiliary contact blocks. Spring-loaded terminals accept 0.25 to 2.5 mm² solid or stranded wire, AWG 24 to 14. No screw torque check needed.
The S00 frame is 45 mm wide, 60 mm tall, and 72 mm deep, so it fits standard 45 mm pitch on the rail. Side-by-side mounting is allowed with no derating if ambient stays within -25 to +60 °C.

Coil operates at 50/60 Hz. Voltage tolerance 0.8 to 1.1 x rated at 50 Hz, 0.85 to 1.1 at 60 Hz. Rated control supply voltage 230 V at both frequencies. The auxiliary contact ratings (at 60 V: 2 A; at 110 V: 1 A; at 230 V: 6 A; at 400 V: 3 A) cover the integrated auxiliary contacts if present — verify the specific contact configuration on your unit.
