SIRIUS S0 power contactor for motor and resistive loads
It carries 4 normally open main contacts and is rated for screw-type terminal connections. Rated at 7.5 kW at AC-2 duty on 400 V, this contactor is sized for moderate motor applications like pumps, fans, and compressors where starting current and load disconnection are regular events. The AC-2 rating covers slip-ring motor switching with moderate overloads.
The S0 footprint occupies 61 mm width, 85 mm height, and 101 mm depth — a compact envelope that fits standard panel layouts without crowding adjacent devices. Side-by-side mounting is permitted, which simplifies multi-contactor assemblies for star-delta or reversing starters. Wire capacity for main circuit terminals: accepts solid conductors 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), and up to 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²) maximum. For stranded or finely stranded wire with ferrules, the range is 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) and 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²). AWG equivalents are 2x (20 to 16) and 2x (18 to 14) for solid, with a single 12 AWG maximum.
Type 1 coordination (contactor may need replacement after fault) allows a 63 A gL/gG fuse. This lets the panel designer balance protection selectivity against component survival. DC coil closing and holding power are both 5.4 W, which simplifies power supply sizing for the control circuit.
