SIRIUS S0 power contactor for motor switching
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1326-1AP60 is a size S0 power contactor with 4 normally open main contacts, rated for switching motor loads up to 11 kW at AC-2 duty on a 400 V supply. The coil is wound for 220 V at 50 Hz and 240 V at 60 Hz, with an operating range of 0.8 to 1.1 times the rated control supply voltage. It mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022 via screw or snap-on, and the front face carries an IP20 rating (terminals are IP00).
Ratings and what they mean for your panel
The 11 kW AC-2 rating at 400 V is the key motor-switching figure — AC-2 covers slip-ring motors and reversing starts where the contactor makes and breaks the load. The 4 NO main contacts are all on the same pole set, so this contactor handles a single three-phase motor plus a spare pole for a heater or control transformer if needed. Main contact ratings at 230 V (6 A) and 400 V (3 A) are also listed for resistive or lightly inductive loads. Auxiliary contacts are built in: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V — these cover control-circuit interlocking or status feedback without an add-on block. Short-circuit coordination is specified: Type 2 coordination requires a gL/gG fuse rated 35 A; Type 1 coordination allows a 63 A gL/gG fuse. The contactor is rated for pollution degree 3 (industrial environment with conductive pollution), ambient temperature from -25 °C to +60 °C during operation, and maximum installation altitude of 2 000 m. Mechanical life is stated at 10 million operating cycles.
Mounting and wiring
The 3RT1326-1AP60 snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022; side-by-side mounting is permitted (6 mm clearance to adjacent devices). Main circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²) or 2x (2.5 to 6 mm²) solid/stranded, max 2x 10 mm² (or 1x 12 AWG). Auxiliary contact terminals accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). Overall dimensions: 85 mm height, 61 mm width, 91 mm depth. The front IP20 rating means the enclosure protects against finger contact; terminals are IP00 so gland-plate or enclosure cover is needed for tool access.
