Mounting and integration
The 3RT1344-1AP00: Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm and 75 mm standard mounting rail — the snap-on feature speeds panel assembly compared to through-bolt-only contactors. Side-by-side mounting is permitted, so you can gang multiple units without a mandatory air gap, though the IP20 front protection (with cover or box terminal) means the panel interior must still respect pollution degree 3. Dimensions are 146 mm high, 93 mm wide, and 139 mm deep — the 93 mm width is the key panel fill factor when laying out a row of S3 contactors.
Termination and wiring
Main current circuit uses screw-type terminals; auxiliary and control circuits also use screw terminals — consistent tooling for the panel builder. Solid wire acceptance: 2x (0.5... 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75... 2.5 mm²), max. 2x (0.75... 4 mm²). Stranded main conductors: 2x (10... 50 mm²). For the main contacts, AWG cables 2x (10... 1/0) are accepted. At 40 °C and 60 °C, the minimum permissible conductor cross-section is 35 mm². The short-circuit protection coordination (type 2) requires a fuse gL/gG: 125 A.
