The 53 kW rating at 230 V at 60 °C tells you the contactor can switch a motor of that power continuously at that voltage and ambient temperature. The 1,000 V insulation voltage means the contactor's internal clearances and creepage are designed for 1 kV systems, which covers 400 V and 690 V networks with margin.
Both main and auxiliary/control circuits use screw-type terminals. The main circuit accepts stranded conductors from 2x (10... 50 mm²) and solid conductors from 2x (0.5... 1.5 mm²) up to max. 2x (0.75... 4 mm²). For AWG, the main contacts accept 2x (10... 1/0). The auxiliary/control circuit terminals accept 2x (0.5... 1.5 mm²) solid, 2x (0.75... 2.5 mm²) solid, and max. 2x (0.75... 4 mm²) solid.
