What it is and what it does
The 3RT1373-6AE36: The coil is rated for 24 to 60 V AC, drawing 8.5 VA at both 50 and 60 Hz. This wide pickup range covers common control voltages in European and North American panels without needing a separate transformer tap. It includes an integrated auxiliary switch block with two instantaneous contacts, rated for switching at various control voltages: 3 A at 24 V, 1.5 A at 48 V, 0.55 A at 110/125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 4 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 2 A at 500/690 V. This covers feedback to a PLC or status indication for a motor control center.
Mounting and integration
The contactor is screw-fixed to a vertical mounting surface. It can be rotated ±180° on that surface, or tilted forward/backward ±30° when at 0° rotation. This flexibility helps when fitting into a crowded panel where the gland plate or busbars dictate orientation. Dimensions are 225 mm high, 184 mm wide, and 180 mm deep. Plan for 10 mm clearance above and below, 20 mm forward, and 10 mm at the sides for airflow and wiring access. The screw-type coil terminals accept one or two conductors of 1 to 4 mm² each (solid or stranded). This is standard for panel wiring with ferruled ends.
Environmental and operating limits
Operating temperature range is -40 to +60 °C, with storage from -40 to +70 °C. The contactor is rated for use in unconditioned enclosures as long as ambient stays within these bounds. Pick-up and drop-out times are 45 to 80 ms for both AC and DC operation. The rated operating voltage limits are 0.8 to 1.1 times the coil rated value, so the coil holds in reliably even if the control supply sags.
