It carries a 42 V 50 Hz coil and is rated for AC-2 duty at 22 kW at 400 V — that covers slip-ring motor starting and reversing applications where the contactor makes and breaks both starting and running currents. For AC-3 direct-on-line squirrel-cage motors, it handles 29.9 kW at 500 V and 38.2 kW at 690 V.
The 70 mm width, 146 mm height, and 139 mm depth mean it occupies one standard DIN-rail module position plus some overhang — plan for the depth when sizing the enclosure gland plate.
Solid conductors: 2x (0.5... 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75... 2.5 mm²), max. 2x (0.75... 4 mm²). Stranded: 2x (10... 50 mm²). For mixed solid/stranded: 2x (2.5... 16 mm²). At 40 °C ambient, the minimum permissible conductor is 50 mm²; at 60 °C it derates to 35 mm². The front terminals are rated IP20 with the cover or box terminal installed — finger-safe for panel access. The terminal body itself is IP00, so live parts are exposed behind the panel door.
The coil is rated 42 V at 50 Hz with an operating range of 0.8 to 1.1 times rated voltage. Operating time at AC is 10 to 25 ms, arcing time 10 to 15 ms. For DC switching on auxiliary contacts: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V. The maximum switching rate for AC-1 resistive loads is 650 cycles per hour.
