SIRIUS S12 Contactor for Heavy Motor and Resistive Loads
The Siemens 3RT1476-6NB36 is a SIRIUS brand contactor in the S12 frame size, designed for switching motor loads and resistive circuits in industrial control panels. Its coil accepts 21 to 27.3 V AC/DC, making it suitable for standard 24 V control systems with tolerance for voltage drop or ripple. The main power circuit accepts stranded conductors from 70 up to 240 mm², sized for high-current feeders typical of large motors or distribution.
Mounting and Panel Integration
Mounts via screw fixing (four holes, 11 mm diameter) to a vertical panel surface. The mounting position allows +/-90° rotation and +/-22.5° tilt forward/backward, giving flexibility for tight enclosures. Dimensions are 214 mm high, 160 mm wide, 225 mm deep. Minimum clearances: 10 mm downwards, 10 mm upwards, 10 mm at the side, 20 mm forwards. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage from -55 to +80 °C.
Auxiliary Contact Ratings and Switching Performance
An auxiliary switch is included. Its rated switching currents vary by voltage: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 6 A at 230 V. These ratings cover typical control circuit voltages for signaling and interlocking. The contactor's mechanical endurance is typically 10,000,000 operations. Arcing time is 10 to 15 ms; closing time (AC and DC) is 80 to 100 ms.
