The Siemens 3RT1516-2AP00 is a SIRIUS power contactor in Size S00 — the smallest frame in the series, sized for switching motor loads and resistive circuits in control panels up to 5.5 kW at 400 V AC-3. The coil is wound for 230 V at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, drawing 4.4 V·A at 50 Hz. Main contacts are rated 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V. Auxiliary contacts (one NO, one NC) each carry 9 A. The main and auxiliary circuits both have a rated impulse withstand voltage of 6 kV.
Depth is 72 mm, which clears most 80 mm-deep enclosures. The mounting position allows vertical surface mounting with ±180° rotation and ±30° tilt front-to-back.
Main circuit uses spring-loaded terminals accepting 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire. Auxiliary circuit terminals are also rated for 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²). The front and terminal faces carry IP20 finger protection, safe for live panel work.
