SIRIUS S0 power contactor — 3RT1526-1AL20
The coil is rated for 230 V AC at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, drawing 8.4 VA at 50 Hz. Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept solid or stranded wire: 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²), or max. 2x (0.75...4 mm²).
Footprint is 85 mm high by 61 mm wide, 91 mm deep. That 61 mm width is the S0 standard — it occupies one 61 mm-wide slot on the DIN rail, leaving adjacent slots free for overload relays or busbars. The 6 mm side clearance is the minimum required when mounting units side-by-side; no extra gap needed between contactors. Mounting position allows vertical surface with ±180° rotation and ±30° tilt front-to-back, which covers most panel layouts except horizontal rail.
The main contacts (1 NO + 1 NC) are each rated 25 A for general-purpose use. At AC-1 (resistive load) the maximum switching rate is 1,000 operations per hour. For DC switching at 24 V the contact rating is 10 A; at 60 V it drops to 2 A; at 220 V it is 0.3 A. These numbers define the contactor's capability for motor starting, heater switching, and DC control circuits — the 25 A NO/NC contacts handle the load, while the 6 kV impulse rating ensures coordination with upstream surge protection.
