SIRIUS Size S2 Power Contactor – 3RT1535-1AK60
For type 2 coordination ('with type of assignment 2 required'), the main circuit is protected by an 80 A gL/gG fuse — that's the fuse size that keeps the contactor operational after a short-circuit fault rather than welding the contacts. The contactor can be mounted on a vertical surface with ±180° rotation and ±30° tilt forward/backward.
Main circuit terminals accept stranded wire from 2x 0.75 mm² up to 2x 25 mm², or solid wire from 2x 0.5 mm² up to 2x 4 mm² (max 2x 4 mm² solid). AWG equivalents for main contacts are 2x 18 to 2 AWG. Auxiliary and control circuit terminals use the same screw-type format, with solid wire sizes 2x 0.5–1.5 mm², 2x 0.75–2.5 mm², max 2x 0.75–4 mm². Side-by-side mounting is permitted — no spacing required between adjacent contactors, which saves panel width. The contactor is 73 mm wide, 112 mm high, and 115 mm deep.
Coil and Switching Performance
The magnet coil is rated for AC operation: at 50 Hz the holding power is 12.6 VA; at 60 Hz the power factor is 0.37. Coil operating times: pick-up (at AC) 10–30 ms, arcing time 10–15 ms. Rated control supply voltages: 110 V at 50 Hz, 120 V at 60 Hz. Auxiliary contact ratings: per NC contact 40 A, per NO contact 40 A. Switching capacity at various voltages: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, 1 A at 440 V. Mechanical life of the contactor is typically 10 million operations.
Substance prohibitance per RoHS/REACH applies from 01.05.2012, meaning the contactor complies with the EU RoHS directive for materials restrictions effective that date.
