The Siemens 3RT1916-1CC00 is a SIRIUS RC-element surge suppressor designed to clip voltage spikes from the coil circuit of a contactor, relay, or similar inductive load. It mounts directly onto S00-size contactors in the SIRIUS family, suppressing the back-EMF that otherwise erodes contacts and radiates noise into adjacent control wiring. Rated for both AC and DC control supplies — 48…127 V AC at 50/60 Hz and 70…150 V DC — so it covers the common control-voltage bands found across European and North American panels.
Lifecycle and replacement
The 3RT1916-1CC00 is a phased-out product. For new designs or BOM replenishment, the preferred successor is the 3RT2916-1CC00 from the SIRIUS 3RT2 series. The replacement maintains the same S00 footprint and RC-element function, so a panel already laid out for the 3RT1916-1CC00 should accept the successor without mechanical rework.
