What it is and what it fits
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1934-5AP62 is a replacement magnet coil for Size S2 contactors in the SIRIUS family. It uses spring-loaded (cage-clamp) connection technology and is wound for 220 V AC at 50 Hz or 240 V AC at 60 Hz. That dual-frequency rating means one coil covers both 50 Hz and 60 Hz line supplies — handy if a machine gets moved between regions or the panel ships globally.
Fit note — Size S2 form factor
This coil is dimensioned for SIRIUS Size S2 contactors — the physical envelope matches that frame. The spring-loaded terminals accept solid or stranded wire without needing a screwdriver torque check, which speeds up replacement on a live panel where access is tight. Snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022 is standard for the SIRIUS contactor range, so the coil swap doesn't require pulling the whole contactor off the rail.
What the voltage ratings mean in practice
The control supply voltage is AC only — don't feed it DC. At 50 Hz the rated coil voltage is 220 V; at 60 Hz it's 240 V. The pick-up and hold VA draw for a Size S2 coil will be higher than the S00/S0 frames, so verify the control transformer is sized to handle the inrush. The operating range of 0.8 to 1.1 times rated voltage means the coil pulls in reliably down to about 176 V at 50 Hz and drops out below that — useful to know if your control supply is shared with motor starters that cause a voltage dip on pickup.
