Mounting is via screw or snap-on onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, with a footprint of 45 mm width, 58 mm height, and 73 mm depth. Conductor cross-sections from 0.5 to 4 mm² solid or stranded are accepted, including dual-wire terminations up to 2x 4 mm². The contactor is rated for a mechanical service life of 30,000,000 operating cycles typical, with maximum switching frequencies of 1,000 cycles/hour under AC-1 resistive loads, 750 cycles/hour under AC-2 and AC-3 motor duty, and 250 cycles/hour under AC-4 inching duty. The AC-3e rating also permits 750 cycles/hour.
Environmental & Mounting Tolerances
Arcing time is specified at 10 to 15 ms at AC, with an opening time of 4 to 15 ms at AC. These values matter for coordination with upstream protective devices — the contactor clears fast enough to avoid nuisance tripping of a motor circuit protector in a typical MCC bucket.
