It carries a 24 VDC screw-type coil and main contacts rated for 20–12 A, with an auxiliary switch built in.
Switching duty and frequency
The 3RT2015-1AN21 is rated for different switching frequencies depending on the duty class: up to 1,000 operations per hour in AC-1 (resistive loads), 750 per hour in AC-2 and AC-3 (slip-ring and squirrel-cage motors), and 250 per hour in AC-4 (plugging/inching). The AC-3e rating also sits at 750 ops/h. For a packaging line running frequent start/stop cycles on a conveyor motor, the AC-3 ceiling of 750 ops/h gives you headroom — you won't hit that limit on a normal flow-wrapper, but it's worth checking if you're doing rapid indexing.
Auxiliary contact ratings and wiring
The built-in auxiliary switch is rated across a range of voltages: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 0.14 A at 440 V.
The contactor measures 45 mm wide, 58 mm high, and 73 mm deep — size S00 footprint. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upward and downward, 6 mm at the sides, 10 mm forward. The coil uses screw-type terminals, so you'll need a screwdriver for termination — no push-in spring cages here.
