The Siemens 3RT2015-1AN24-3MA0 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the compact Size S00 frame — 45 mm wide, 58 mm high, 117 mm deep — designed for switching motor loads and resistive circuits in control panels. The 24 VDC coil draws 6 A at its rated voltage, so the control transformer or power supply feeding it needs to support that inrush; at 400 V the contact rating drops to 3 A, and at 230 V it carries a 0.75 hp motor load.
Switching duty and mechanical life
This contactor is rated for different switching frequencies depending on the load category. In AC-1 (resistive loads) it can handle up to 1 000 operations per hour; in AC-3 (standard motor starting) and AC-3e (enhanced motor) it manages 750 ops/h; in AC-2 (slip-ring motors) also 750 ops/h; and in AC-4 (plugging/inching) it's limited to 250 ops/h. The typical mechanical life is 30 000 000 operations — that's the contactor itself, not the contacts, so the actual electrical life depends on the load and switching frequency.
Wiring and clearance notes
The main contact terminals accept solid or stranded wire from 0.5 to 4 mm², and can take two conductors per terminal: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm².
