The Siemens 3RT2015-1AN62 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the compact S00 frame size — 45 mm wide, 73 mm deep, 58 mm tall — designed for switching motor loads in control panels. It mounts on 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 using the screw-and-snap-on method, with a +/-180° rotation possible on a vertical surface and +/-22.5° tilt forward/backward, giving flexibility in tight panel layouts. The coil is 24 VDC with screw-type terminals, and the auxiliary switch is integrated. Wire range accepts solid or stranded 0.5 to 4 mm², or 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm², covering common control wiring sizes.
The contactor is rated for AC-3 motor switching at up to 750 cycles per hour (AC-3e also at 750/h), and AC-4 (inching/plugging) at 250 cycles per hour — so it handles frequent starts and stops within a standard production cycle. AC-1 resistive load switching is rated at 1000 cycles/h. These figures define the thermal and mechanical duty; for a motor starting once per minute, AC-3 at 750/h leaves plenty of headroom. Auxiliary contact ratings are given at various voltages: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 0.14 A at 440 V. These are the make/break currents for the auxiliary circuit — important for interlocking or PLC input signals. The arcing time is 10 to 15 ms at 50/60 Hz, and the switching time (at AC) is 4 to 15 ms, which is typical for this contactor class.
