The Siemens 3RT2015-1BP41 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the Size S00 frame — the smallest footprint in the SIRIUS line, 45 mm wide, 58 mm tall, 73 mm deep. The coil is rated 230 V AC, terminated at screw-type terminals. An auxiliary switch is built in, saving a slot on the rail.
Duty cycle and switching frequency
This contactor is rated for different switching frequencies depending on the duty category: 1,000 cycles/hour at AC-1 (resistive loads), 750 cycles/hour at AC-2 and AC-3 (motor starting/running), and 250 cycles/hour at AC-4 (plugging, inching). The AC-3e rating also holds at 750 cycles/hour.
The built-in auxiliary switch is rated for 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 3 A at 400 V. That covers the common control voltages in a panel — 24 VDC for PLC outputs, 110/125 V for legacy relay logic, and 400 V for direct switching of small loads.
Wiring and clearances
Solid wire range is 0.5 to 4 mm²; stranded wire also 0.5 to 4 mm². For two conductors in parallel, the range is 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm². That 6 mm side clearance is tight — plan your DIN rail layout so adjacent devices don't crowd the arc chamber.
