Rated for AC-3 duty at 750 switching cycles per hour, this contactor handles the repetitive start/stop profile of a conveyor or pump motor without exceeding thermal limits. The AC-4 rating of 250 cycles/h applies for reversing or plugging duty where inrush is sustained. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upward/downward, 6 mm at the sides — tight enough for a multi-row panel layout.
Switching Frequency and Duty Cycle
Maximum operating frequency varies by load type: 1 000 cycles/h for AC-1 (resistive), 750 cycles/h for AC-2 and AC-3 (motor start/run), and 250 cycles/h for AC-4 (inching/plugging). For AC-3e (enhanced motor switching) the limit is also 750 cycles/h. These are the thermal limits of the S00 frame — exceeding them requires derating or a larger frame.
Auxiliary Contact Ratings and Wiring
Built-in auxiliary switch (1 NO + 1 NC) rated for 10 A at 24 V DC, 2 A at 48/60 V DC, 1 A at 110 V DC, 0.9 A at 125 V DC, 0.3 A at 220 V DC, and 3 A at 400 V AC. The DC ratings drop with voltage due to arc extinction limits — use the 24 V figure for PLC interlocking, the 110 V figure for legacy relay logic. Terminals accept solid or stranded wire: 0.5–4 mm² single, or 2 × (0.5–1.5 mm²), 2 × (0.75–2.5 mm²), or 2 × 4 mm². Screw-type terminals with a 7–13 ms DC arcing time; arcing time at AC is 10–15 ms.
