The Siemens 3RT2015-1QB42 is a SIRIUS coupling contactor in the Size S00 frame, designed for switching DC loads in control circuits. It is a 4-pole device with a 24 V DC coil and screw-type terminals, intended for applications where galvanic isolation and reliable switching of DC-13 inductive loads are required.
Mounting and Panel Integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The Size S00 footprint is compact at 45 mm wide, 58 mm tall, and 117 mm deep, fitting standard control panel enclosures. Clearance distances are specified: 10 mm upward, 10 mm forward, 10 mm downward, and 6 mm to the side. Mounting position allows +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface and +/-22.5° tilt forward/backward.
Electrical Ratings and Switching Capability
Rated coil voltage is 24 V DC with a pick-up threshold of 0.7 x rated value and a drop-out range of 0.2 to 0.12 x rated value. The main contacts are rated for DC-13 duty: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 3 A at 400 V. For AC motor loads, it carries a 0.75 hp rating at 230 V. Mechanical life is 30 million operations typical.
