What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RT2015-1VB41 is a SIRIUS coupling contactor in Size S00, designed for switching DC loads in control circuits and small motor applications. It carries a 24 VDC coil with a pick-up threshold of 0.85 x rated voltage and a drop-out of 1.85 x rated voltage, so the coil holds reliably at nominal and drops out cleanly when the control signal falls. The main contacts are rated for 10 A at 24 VDC, 2 A at 48 VDC, 2 A at 60 VDC, 1 A at 110 VDC, 0.9 A at 125 VDC, 0.3 A at 220 VDC, and 3 A at 400 VDC — these are the DC-13 switching capacities, meaning the contactor can break inductive DC loads at those currents. For AC motor duty, it is rated 0.75 hp at 230 V. The coil termination uses screw-type terminals, and the main circuit accepts solid or stranded wire from 0.5 to 4 mm², or two conductors in parallel per the listed combinations.
Mounting and integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The mounting position allows +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface, and can be tilted forward/backward by +/-22.5° on a vertical surface — useful when panel layout forces an off-axis orientation. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the side. Dimensions are 45 mm wide, 58 mm high, and 73 mm deep. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range is -55 to +80 °C. The mechanical service life is typically 30,000,000 operations. Maximum switching rates vary by duty: 1,000 cycles/hour for AC-1 (resistive), 750 cycles/hour for AC-2 and AC-3 (motor starting), 250 cycles/hour for AC-4 (plugging/inching), and 750 cycles/hour for AC-3e. Operating time on DC is 20 to 80 ms; arcing time is 10 to 15 ms.
