The 3RT2015-2AP01 is a Size S00 SIRIUS power contactor, 45 mm wide and 73 mm deep, designed for screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. This compact footprint fits standard control panel DIN-rail layouts, leaving room for adjacent motor starters or overload relays in a motor control center. Spring-type terminals on the magnet coil accept solid or stranded conductors from 0.5 to 4 mm², including 2x (0.5 to 4 mm²) for paralleled feeds. No screw torque verification needed — the spring cage provides consistent clamping force, reducing wiring time and eliminating loose-terminal callbacks during commissioning. Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward or backward, giving flexibility in tight enclosures. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, 10 mm forwards, and 6 mm at the side for heat dissipation and arc flash clearance.
Switching Performance & Duty Cycles
Rated for AC-1 resistive loads at up to 1,000 operations per hour, AC-3 motor starting at 750 ops/h, and AC-4 plugging/reversing at 250 ops/h. The AC-3e rating also holds at 750 ops/h, covering energy-efficient motor applications. Arcing time runs 10 to 15 ms, with pickup and dropout at AC between 4 and 15 ms — fast enough for standard interlocking sequences. Auxiliary switch included as standard, allowing feedback to a PLC or safety relay without an add-on block. For a Tier-1 line, this supports full part genealogy — the auxiliary contact confirms the main contacts have closed, enabling zero-escape logic in the safety circuit.
