What it is and where it fits
The Siemens 3RT2015-2AP01-ZX95 is a SIRIUS power contactor in frame size S00, with a 24 VDC coil terminated via spring-type terminals. It mounts by screw or snap-on onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715, making it a direct panel fit for any enclosure built around that rail profile. The S00 frame keeps the footprint compact — 45 mm wide, 70 mm tall, 73 mm deep — so it slots into crowded DIN-rail rows without forcing a re-spacing of adjacent devices.
Switching duty and thermal limits
This contactor is rated for AC-3 motor switching at up to 750 operating cycles per hour, and AC-4 inching/jogging duty at 250 cycles per hour. The AC-1 resistive load maximum is 1,000 cycles per hour. These are the thermal limits of the contactor itself — the actual load current determines whether you can sustain those rates without exceeding the temperature rise. Operating ambient temperature spans -25 °C to +60 °C; storage range is -55 °C to +80 °C. The mounting position is flexible: +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface, and tilt up to +/-22.5° forward or backward, which helps when the panel layout forces an unconventional orientation.
Auxiliary contact capacity
The built-in auxiliary switch carries 10 A at 24 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V — enough for a PLC input or a pilot relay in the control circuit. For DC switching, the 24 V rating is 10 A, dropping to 0.14 A at 440 V. The main contacts are rated for 20 to 12 A depending on the duty class.
Wiring and integration details
The spring-type coil terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 0.5 to 4 mm², and can take two conductors of the same cross-section per clamp. The arcing time is 10 to 15 ms; the opening time at AC is 7 to 13 ms. Clearance distances: 10 mm upwards, forwards, and downwards; 6 mm at the side.
