SIRIUS S00 power contactor — 110 V coil, spring terminals
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2015-2BF48-3MA4 is a Size S00 power contactor with a 110 V AC coil and spring-type terminals on the magnet coil. It snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 or screws to a panel, and the mounting position allows +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface plus +/-22.5° tilt forward and backward — useful when you're squeezing it into a crowded gland plate. At 45 mm wide and 121 mm deep, it fits the standard S00 footprint. The spring terminals accept 0.5 to 4 mm² solid or stranded wire, so you can land a 14 AWG feed without crimping ferrules if the panel spec allows bare copper.
Switching ratings and operating cycle limits
Rated operational current for the main contacts is 20 A at 12 V (AC-1 resistive load curve). The contactor handles 1 000 operating cycles per hour at AC-1 maximum, 750 cycles per hour at AC-3 motor duty, and 250 cycles per hour at AC-4 (high-inrush plugging/reversing). If your application runs frequent jogging or reversing, that 250 cycles/hour ceiling is the hard limit — exceeding it cooks the arc chamber. Arcing time runs 10 to 15 ms, and the DC dropout delay is 7 to 13 ms. The coil holds at 0.8 of rated voltage (88 V AC for this 110 V coil) and picks up at 1.1 times rated (121 V). That 1.1 full-scale pickup means marginal voltage drops on a long cable run can cause chatter — keep the feed tight.
Panel integration and clearances
Minimum clearance around the contactor: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the sides. That 6 mm side gap is tighter than the vertical clearances — if you're stacking contactors side-by-side on the DIN rail, leave at least a finger's width between them for heat dissipation. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range -55 to +80 °C.
