SIRIUS 3RT2015-2BG41 — Power Contactor, Size S00
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2015-2BG41 is a Size S00 power contactor with a 24 VDC magnet coil. The coil is terminated with spring-type terminals, and the main contacts are rated to switch 10 A at 24 V rated value. The contactor frame measures 45 mm wide by 70 mm high by 73 mm deep. This contactor is designed for screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The mounting position allows +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface and can be tilted forward/backward by +/- 22.5°. An auxiliary switch is included. The contactor accepts solid or stranded conductors from 0.5 to 4 mm², and dual conductors of the same range.
Switching Performance and Thermal Limits
The 3RT2015-2BG41 is rated for different duty cycles: maximum 1,000 switching operations per hour under AC-1 resistive load, 750 1/h under AC-2 and AC-3 motor loads, and 250 1/h under AC-4 (plugging/inching) duty. For AC-3e (enhanced motor switching) the rate is also 750 1/h. The contactor operates in ambient temperatures from -25 to +60 °C and can be stored from -55 to +80 °C. The DC switching times (operate + release) fall in the 7 to 13 ms range, with arcing time between 10 and 15 ms. Clearance distances: 10 mm upwards, downwards, and forwards; 6 mm at the side.
Integration Notes
The spring-type terminals on the coil save wiring time compared to screw terminals — no torquing, just strip and insert. The 0.5 to 4 mm² range covers most control-circuit wiring. At 45 mm wide, this Size S00 contactor fits standard 45 mm-wide DIN-rail slots, leaving room for auxiliary contact blocks or overload relays in the same rail segment.
