What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RT2015-2QB41 is a SIRIUS coupling contactor in size S00, designed for switching resistive or lightly inductive loads in control circuits. It is rated 10 A at 24 V DC and operates on a 24 V DC coil. The spring-type terminals accept solid or stranded wire from 0.5 to 4 mm², and the contactor mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715.
Deployment context
45 mm width and 70 mm height fit standard DIN-rail enclosures; 121 mm depth leaves room for wiring ducts. Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward.
Key ratings and what they mean
The 10 A rating at 24 V governs the DC switching capacity. The 0.7 initial value refers to the pick-up/drop-out voltage ratio; the coil holds at 24 V nominal and releases below that threshold. Arcing time of 10 to 15 ms and DC switching time of 7 to 20 ms give a predictable break sequence for inductive loads.
