The Siemens 3RT2016-1AD01 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the Size S00 frame, designed for switching motor loads and resistive loads in control panels. It uses a 24 VDC coil with screw-type terminals and mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715.
Key ratings and what they mean for your panel
The contactor is rated for AC-3 switching (motor starting) at up to 750 operating cycles per hour, and AC-4 (plugging/reversing) at 250 cycles per hour. The auxiliary contact block switches 10 A at 24 V and derates to 0.2 A at 440 V — important to check your control voltage when sizing the auxiliary circuit. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, with storage from -55 to +80 °C.
Mounting and wiring notes
The contactor accepts solid or stranded wire from 0.5 to 4 mm² on the main terminals, with double-wire capacity up to 2x 4 mm². Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward. Minimum clearances: 10 mm upward/downward, 10 mm forward, 6 mm at the side. Dimensions are 45 mm wide, 58 mm high, 73 mm deep.
