Siemens 3RT2016-1AQ01 — SIRIUS Power Contactor, Size S00
The Siemens 3RT2016-1AQ01 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the compact size S00 frame, designed for switching motor loads and resistive loads in control panels up to 400 V AC. It mounts via screw or snap-on onto standard 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, which simplifies panel integration and replacement. The coil is 24 V DC with screw-type terminals, and the auxiliary switch is built in. At 24 V rated value the auxiliary contacts carry 10 A; at 400 V rated value they carry 3 A. The main contact ratings follow the AC duty classes: AC-1 maximum 1000 switching cycles per hour, AC-2 and AC-3 at 750 cycles/h, AC-4 at 250 cycles/h. The AC-3e rating also sits at 750 cycles/h. Wire termination accepts solid or stranded conductors from 0.5 mm² up to 4 mm², with dual-wire capacity for certain combinations (2x 0.5-1.5 mm², 2x 0.75-2.5 mm², 2x 4 mm²). This covers typical control wiring sizes found in panel building. Physical dimensions: 45 mm wide, 58 mm high, 73 mm deep. The depth matters when planning enclosure depth — a standard 80 mm deep enclosure may be tight once wiring clearance is added. Clearance distances: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm at the side. The contactor can be mounted in any orientation within +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface, and tilted forward/backward by +/-22.5°. Operating temperature range -25 to +60 °C; storage range -55 to +80 °C. Ambient temperature derating may apply above 40 °C for continuous duty.
