What It Is and Where It Goes
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2016-1AU01-1AA0 is a Size S00 power contactor with a 24 VDC coil, built for switching motor loads and resistive loads in control panels. It includes an auxiliary switch and uses screw-type terminals for the magnet coil. Snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, or can be screw-mounted. Stands upright on a horizontal surface — that's the only allowed mounting position. Rated for 10 A at 24 V, with an AC-3 switching frequency up to 750 operations per hour. Mechanical life is 30 million cycles typical.
Panel Fit and Wiring
Dimensions are 45 mm wide, 58 mm tall, 73 mm deep — a compact S00 footprint that fits standard DIN-rail enclosures. Clearance: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm at the side. Terminals accept solid or stranded wire from 0.5 to 4 mm². Can also take two conductors per terminal: 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm². Operating Conditions and Ratings
Operates from -25 °C to +60 °C; stores from -55 °C to +80 °C. Arcing time is 10 to 15 ms at AC. Switching frequency depends on duty: AC-1 resistive loads up to 1000 ops/h, AC-2 and AC-3 motor loads up to 750 ops/h, AC-4 plugging/reversing up to 250 ops/h. At 48 V rated value is 2 A, at 60 V also 2 A, at 110 V it's 1 A, at 125 V it's 0.9 A, at 220 V it's 0.3 A, at 400 V it's 3 A, at 440 V it's 0.2 A. At 230 V it's rated for 1 hp.
