Integrator note
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2016-1BB41-1AA0 is a size S00 power contactor with a 24 VDC coil and screw-type terminals. It switches up to 10 A at 24 VDC (resistive load) and handles motor-duty currents at AC-3 up to its rated thermal current. The coil pulls in at 0.8x rated voltage (about 19.2 V) and drops out below that — factor that into your control supply margin if you're running a long 24 V bus with voltage drop. Mounting is screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The standing position on a horizontal surface is specified; if you panel-mount it sideways, derate the switching frequency — the thermal path changes. Clearances: 10 mm upward and forward, 6 mm to the side, 10 mm downward.
Wire termination and switching frequency
Screw terminals accept solid or stranded wire: 2x (0.5... 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75... 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm². That covers most control-circuit and small motor feeds up to the contactor's rating. Switching frequency depends on duty: 1 000 cycles/hour at AC-1 (resistive), 750 at AC-2 or AC-3 (motor starting/running), 250 at AC-4 (plugging/inching). The AC-3e rating also sits at 750 cycles/hour — same as standard AC-3 for this size.
