SIRIUS S00 contactor for 24 VDC control circuits
The 3RT2016-1CN27: Rated operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C during operation and -55 to +80 °C during storage, which covers most control cabinet environments without forced cooling.
Panel integration and wiring
The 45 mm wide, 58 mm high, 117 mm deep footprint fits standard S00 contactor spacing. Clearances required: 10 mm upward, 10 mm downward, 10 mm forward, and 6 mm to the side for arc flash and heat dissipation. Main and coil terminals accept solid or stranded wire: 0.5 to 4 mm² single, or 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), and 2x 4 mm². No auxiliary switch block is included on this variant.
Switching performance and mechanical life
Mechanical life is rated at 10 million operations typical. Maximum switching frequency varies by duty: 1,000 cycles/h for AC-1 resistive loads, 750 cycles/h for AC-2 and AC-3 motor starting, 250 cycles/h for AC-4 plugging/reversing, and 750 cycles/h for AC-3e. Arcing time spans 10 to 15 ms at AC; the contactor's opening time is 4 to 15 ms at AC. The 24 VDC coil draws 0.25 A at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz.
Breaking capacity for DC control loads
Rated breaking capacity at 24 VDC is 6 A, at 48 VDC is 2 A, at 60 VDC is 2 A, at 110 VDC is 1 A, at 125 VDC is 0.9 A, at 220 VDC is 0.3 A, and at 440 VDC is 0.2 A. At 400 VDC it breaks 3 A. The 230 VAC rating is 1 hp, confirming motor-switching capability at that voltage level.
