The Siemens 3RT2016-1FB42-Z W96 is a 3-pole power contactor in the SIRIUS series, frame size S00, rated for AC-3e/AC-3 duty at 9 A and 4 kW at 400 V. The 24 V DC coil includes an integrated diode for suppression, so no external flyback diode is needed across the coil terminals when driven by a PLC or relay output. The contactor carries one normally-closed (NC) auxiliary contact built in, wired to screw terminals. For applications needing more auxiliary contacts, an auxiliary contact block can be side-mounted onto the S00 frame. The screw terminal design accepts standard ferruled or solid copper conductors — torque to the value marked on the contactor nameplate.
Integration notes
The S00 frame size is the smallest in the SIRIUS 3RT2 family — 85 x 55 x 65 mm packaged dimensions. The integrated diode is polarity-sensitive — ensure the positive DC supply connects to terminal A1 and negative to A2.
