SIRIUS S00 power contactor, 24 V DC coil
The Siemens 3RT2016-1FB44-3MA0 is a SIRIUS S00 power contactor with a 24 V DC coil, screw-type terminals, and a rated operating current of 6 A at the 24 V rated value.
Duty-cycle and switching frequency
Switching frequency depends on the duty class: 1,000 operations per hour at AC-1 (resistive load), 750/h at AC-2 and AC-3 (motor starting/running), and 250/h at AC-4 (plugging/inching). The AC-3e rating also allows 750/h. For a conveyor or pump contactor running at AC-3, 750/h is the ceiling — plan the control sequence so the contactor does not exceed one cycle every 4.8 seconds.
The contactor measures 45 mm wide, 58 mm high, and 117 mm deep.
Wire termination and temperature range
Screw terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 0.5 to 4 mm², and two conductors per terminal (2x 0.5–1.5 mm², 2x 0.75–2.5 mm², or 2x 4 mm²). The storage limit matters for spares held on the shelf — no special climate cabinet needed for a spare contactor kept in a standard storeroom.
No successor has been announced, so it is the active BOM line for new panels and a drop-in replacement for existing SIRIUS S00 installations.
