The Siemens 3RT2016-1SB42 is a SIRIUS coupling contactor in size S00. It switches DC loads up to 10 A at 24 V and smaller currents at higher voltages.
Switching frequency and mechanical life
This contactor is rated for 1,000 operations per hour at AC-1 (resistive), 750 per hour at AC-2 and AC-3 (motor starting), and 250 per hour at AC-4 (plugging/inching). The AC-3e rating also sits at 750 ops/hour. Mechanical life is typical 30 million operations — that's a lot of cycles before the armature wears out, so it'll outlast most of the gear it's switching. Arcing time runs 10 to 15 ms, and for DC loads the switching time is 5 to 20 ms depending on the circuit inductance.

Terminals are screw-type, accepting solid or stranded wire from 0.5 to 4 mm², or two wires in parallel (2x 0.5–1.5 mm², 2x 0.75–2.5 mm², or 2x 4 mm²). Operating temperature is -25 to +60 °C; storage range is -55 to +80 °C. Clearance distances: 10 mm above and below, 10 mm forward, 6 mm to the side. The 45 mm width and 58 mm height with 73 mm depth mean it'll fit a standard 45 mm DIN slot with room for airflow.
