The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2016-1UB42 is a size S00 power contactor with a 24 VDC magnet coil and screw-type terminals, designed for snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715.
Coil holds at 24 VDC nominal with an operating range of 0.8 to 1.1 times the rated value — so it picks reliably down to about 19.2 V and drops out below that. Switching currents vary by voltage: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 3 A at 400 V. For motor starting duty (AC-3), the maximum switching frequency is 750 operations per hour; for resistive loads (AC-1) it reaches 1,000 per hour, and for severe inrush duty (AC-4) it drops to 250 per hour.
That 6 mm side clearance is tighter than many contactors — plan your DIN-rail layout accordingly if you're packing multiple units side-by-side.
Terminal Wiring
For dual-wire termination, the range is 2× (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2× (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2× 4 mm². Strip length and torque values follow standard Siemens practice for the S00 frame — no special tooling needed.
The contactor includes a built-in auxiliary switch. Lifecycle status is current production — this is an active catalog part, not a phase-out or NRND item.
