SIRIUS S00 coupling contactor — 24 VDC coil, 10 A switching
The 3RT2016-1VB42 is a Siemens SIRIUS coupling contactor in size S00, designed for switching loads in control panels where a 24 VDC coil voltage is the standard control voltage.
Switching duty and mechanical endurance
The DC dropout delay of 20-80 ms allows coordinated shutdown sequencing — useful when staging contactor drop-out in multi-motor safety circuits. No built-in auxiliary switch is included — if feedback or interlock signaling is needed, an external auxiliary contact block must be added.
Coil voltage and auxiliary contact ratings
The coil is rated 24 VDC with a pickup threshold of 0.85× nominal and a dropout threshold of 1.85× full-scale — meaning it picks up reliably at 20.4 V and will not drop out until the voltage rises to 44.4 V, providing noise immunity on long control cable runs. These are the switching limits for the integrated auxiliary contacts — useful for pilot duty or PLC input circuits at different control voltages. The 0.5 to 4 mm² wire range accepts both solid and stranded conductors, including dual-wire terminations (2× 0.5-1.5 mm², 2× 0.75-2.5 mm², 2× 4 mm²).
