Integrator note — 3RT2016-2BB42-ZW96
The 24 VDC coil pulls in at 0.8 of rated voltage and holds across the full operating range of -25 to +60 °C. Rated switching current at 24 V is 10 A, which covers small motors, solenoid valves, and lighting contactor duty within the S00 thermal limits. Spring-type terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 0.5 to 4 mm², with dual-wire capability up to 2x 4 mm². The contactor mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715, and the mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface plus ±22.5° tilt forward/backward — useful when fitting into tight gland-plate layouts.
Duty-cycle and switching frequency
Maximum switching frequency depends on the load category: 1 000 operations per hour for AC-1 resistive loads, 750/h for AC-2 and AC-3 motor starting, and 250/h for AC-4 plugging or inching duty. The AC-3e rating also permits 750/h.
