SIRIUS S00 power contactor — 24 VDC coil, 10 A, spring terminals
The Siemens 3RT2016-2UB42 is a SIRIUS S00 power contactor built for switching motor loads and resistive loads in control panels up to 10 A at 24 V DC coil voltage. It's rated for 1 000 operations per hour at AC-1, 750/h at AC-3, and 250/h at AC-4 — so you can push it hard on motor starting duty but need to back off for plugging or inching cycles. The coil uses spring-type terminals; the main and auxiliary contacts accept 0.5 to 4 mm² solid or stranded wire, doubled up at 2x (0.5 to 4 mm²). Mounts via screw or snap-on to 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715, and the mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface plus ±22.5° tilt forward/backward — handy when you're shoehorning it into a crowded enclosure.
Clearance and mounting
Keep 10 mm clearance upwards, downwards, and forwards, and 6 mm at the sides. The contactor measures 45 mm wide by 70 mm tall by 73 mm deep — fits a standard 45 mm DIN-rail slot. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage from -55 to +80 °C. That storage floor matters if the spare sits in an unheated warehouse through winter.
