SIRIUS S00 contactor — panel fit and duty-cycle limits
The 3RT2017-1AK64-3MA0 is a SIRIUS power contactor in size S00, 45 mm wide, 58 mm tall, 117 mm deep — the compact footprint fits standard 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, with screw and snap-on fastening. Rated for 750 operating cycles per hour in AC-3 and AC-3e duty, and 250 ops/h in AC-4 — the switching frequency limit drops by a factor of three under the higher electrical stress of plugging/inching service. Mechanical endurance is 30 million cycles typical, so the contactor outlasts the panel's service life in most conveyor, pump, and fan applications at the rated switching rates. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, storage -55 to +80 °C — the wider storage envelope covers unpowered shelf life in unconditioned warehouses.
Termination and wiring — screw-type coil terminals, no auxiliary
Main contact terminals accept solid or stranded wire from 0.5 to 4 mm², with dual-wire capacity: 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm² — enough for paralleled feeds or daisy-chaining in a motor starter cluster. The magnet coil uses screw-type terminals, and the contactor ships without an auxiliary switch block — if you need a mirror contact or early-make signal, a separate SIRIUS auxiliary switch must be added to the front or side slot. Clearance distances: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm at the side — these are the minimum air gaps to adjacent metalwork or enclosure walls for the rated insulation voltage.
Mounting position flexibility
The contactor can be mounted in any orientation: +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface, and tilted forward or backward by +/-22.5° on a vertical surface — useful when the panel layout forces a non-standard angle.
Coil operating current across voltages
The coil draws 6 A at 24 V rated value, dropping to 2 A at 48 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 0.2 A at 440 V — these are the steady-state holding currents; inrush at pickup is higher but the PLC output or relay driving the coil must be rated for the holding current plus a margin for the initial surge.
Lifecycle and sourcing — active production, quoted to order
Sourced through independent distribution channels; availability and current pricing are confirmed at RFQ against the BOM quantity. No stock-holding claim — quoted per order.
