SIRIUS Size S00 power contactor — 24 VDC coil, screw terminals
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2017-1AP01-ZW96 is a Size S00 power contactor with a 24 VDC magnet coil terminated at screw-type terminals. It mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, fitting a 45 mm wide footprint in the panel. The auxiliary switch block is integrated, saving a slot on the rail. Rated operating range covers -25 to +60 °C during operation and -55 to +80 °C in storage. Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface, with ±22.5° tilt forward/backward — flexible for tight enclosures.
Auxiliary contact ratings and switching frequency
The auxiliary contacts carry 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V or 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 0.2 A at 440 V. These are the rated values for the integrated auxiliary switch — check your control circuit voltage against these curves. Switching frequency limits: 1 000 operations/hour at AC-1, 750/h at AC-2, AC-3, and AC-3e, and 250/h at AC-4. The arcing time is 10 to 15 ms at AC. For high-cycle applications like rapid reversing, stay within the AC-4 ceiling.
Wiring and clearances
Terminals accept solid or stranded wire from 0.5 to 4 mm², with dual-wire capacity: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm². Minimum clearances to adjacent components: 10 mm upward, forward, and downward; 6 mm at the sides.
