Mounting and panel fit
The 3RT2017-1AP02-1AA0: At 45 mm wide, 58 mm tall, and 73 mm deep, this contactor fits standard S00 panel layouts. Mounting position is standing on a horizontal surface. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the side. The fastening method accepts both screw fixing and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715.
Wiring and termination
Main contact terminals accept solid or stranded wire: 0.5 to 4 mm² single, or 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm². The magnet coil uses screw-type terminals. Auxiliary switch is included.
Duty cycle and switching frequency
Maximum switching frequency depends on duty: AC-1 (resistive) allows up to 1,000 operations per hour; AC-2 and AC-3 (motor starting) allow 750 per hour; AC-4 (plugging/inching) is limited to 250 per hour. Arcing time is 10 to 15 ms at AC. Mechanical life typical is 30,000,000 operations.
Environmental and ratings
Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range is -55 to +80 °C. Auxiliary contact ratings: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 3 A at 400 V, 0.2 A at 440 V. At 230 V rated value, the contactor is rated for 2 hp.
