Mounting and integration
The 3RT2017-1AV62: Fastening method is screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail according to DIN EN 60715. The mounting position allows +/-180° rotation on a vertical mounting surface and can be tilted forward and backward by +/-22.5° on a vertical mounting surface. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, and 6 mm at the side. At 45 mm wide and 58 mm tall, this contactor fits standard DIN-rail gland-plate layouts without crowding adjacent components.
Electrical ratings and duty cycles
Maximum switching frequency varies by duty class: 1,000 1/h at AC-1 maximum, 750 1/h at AC-2 and AC-3 maximum, and 250 1/h at AC-4 maximum. The AC-3e maximum is also 750 1/h. Arcing time is 10 to 15 ms at AC. These figures tell you how hard you can cycle the contactor — the AC-4 limit is the one to watch for plugging or inching duty where the contacts make and break under load repeatedly.
Auxiliary contact ratings
This contactor includes an auxiliary switch. The auxiliary contact ratings at 24 V rated value is 10 A; at 48 V rated value 2 A; at 60 V rated value 2 A; at 110 V rated value 1 A; at 125 V rated value 0.9 A; at 220 V rated value 0.3 A; at 400 V rated value 3 A; at 440 V rated value 0.2 A; at 480 V rated value 11 A. The 480 V rating (11 A) is notably higher than the 400 V rating — check the specific voltage your control circuit runs at.
Wire termination and environmental limits
Main contacts accept solid 0.5 to 4 mm², stranded 0.5 to 4 mm², and 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm². Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C during operation; storage range is -55 to +80 °C. The typical mechanical life of the contactor is 30,000,000 operations.
