SIRIUS S00 power contactor — 24 VDC coil, screw terminals
The Siemens 3RT2017-1BB42-ZW96 is a SIRIUS S00 power contactor with a 24 V DC magnet coil terminated via screw-type terminals. The auxiliary switch is rated 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V — covering typical PLC-level control signals and small motor starter interlocks. Size S00 (45 mm wide × 58 mm high × 73 mm deep) is the most compact Siemens contactor frame, designed to pack multiple contactors side-by-side on 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715.
Mounting and clearances
Screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail. Minimum clearances: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm at the side. Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on vertical surfaces and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward — useful when fitting into tight sub-panels or angled enclosures.
Wiring and terminal capacity
Screw-type terminals accept solid or stranded wire from 0.5 to 4 mm². For main contacts, the terminal can take 2 × (0.5–1.5 mm²), 2 × (0.75–2.5 mm²), or 2 × 4 mm². This covers standard panel wire sizes for control circuits and small motor loads.
