Mounting and Integration
The 3RT2017-1BE41: Mounts via screw or snap-on onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The mounting position is flexible: +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface, and can be tilted forward/backward by +/-22.5°. For thermal management, maintain clearances of 10 mm upwards, downwards, and forwards, and 6 mm at the sides. The size S00 footprint — 45 mm wide, 58 mm high, 73 mm deep — fits standard panel layouts.
Switching Performance and Endurance
Switching frequency depends on duty: up to 1,000 cycles/hour for AC-1 resistive loads, 750 cycles/hour for AC-2 and AC-3 motor starting, and 250 cycles/hour for AC-4 plugging/reversing. AC-3e rating also supports 750 cycles/hour. Mechanical endurance is rated at 30,000,000 operations typical. The DC coil operates with a pick-up voltage of 0.8 x rated value and a hold-in of 1.1 x rated value; operating time at DC is 7 to 13 ms, with arcing time of 10 to 15 ms.
Environmental and Wiring
Operates from -25 to +60 °C; storage range is -55 to +80 °C. Screw terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 0.5 to 4 mm², with support for two conductors per terminal: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm². The main contact rating range is 20 to 12 (likely a code for current rating range per IEC).
